TABLE OF CONTENTS

On 15th December, the MageCloud team hosted an Ecommerce Breakfast at Bill’s Covent Garden, bringing together a brilliant group of e-commerce founders and operators for an open and honest discussion over coffee and breakfast.

With Black Friday and Cyber Weekend freshly behind us, the focus of the morning was on sharing results, learnings, and takeaways from one of the most important trading periods of the year. Rather than surface-level metrics, the conversation centred on what really worked, what didn’t, and how strategies evolved in real time during peak demand.

Honest Conversations, Real Insights

One of the most valuable aspects of these breakfasts is the candour in the room. Founders openly discussed performance across channels, customer behaviour shifts, operational challenges, and the growing importance of retention, CRO, and profitability over pure revenue growth.

From email and paid media performance to stock planning and on-site optimisation, the discussion highlighted just how much more strategic and disciplined ecommerce has become, especially in a market where efficiency matters more than ever.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Beyond reflecting on Black Friday, the breakfast naturally shifted toward the future. Attendees shared early thoughts on 2026 planning, including platform investment, automation, AI usage, brand positioning, and how teams are preparing for continued changes in consumer behaviour.

It was clear that many brands are already thinking long-term, focusing on sustainable growth, stronger foundations, and clearer differentiation rather than chasing short-term wins

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to join us in London. The quality of discussion, openness, and willingness to share real experiences is exactly what Ecommerce Camp is about.

These smaller, in-person breakfasts continue to demonstrate the power of bringing ecommerce leaders together to learn from one another, and we’re excited to host many more throughout 2025 and beyond.

If you’d like to attend a future EcommerceCamp breakfast or event, keep an eye on our upcoming announcements. We’d love to see you at the table next time.

Whether you’re just starting or looking to scale your ecommerce operation, finding the right tech and team can make all the difference. After ecommerce events, we’re more inspired than ever to help brands push boundaries and grow smarter online.
